Multiverses and Mature Romance

Hey there! I'm working on a new take on the newsletter. Because my writing process is too full of personal angst and annoyance with myself to share with anyone outside my circle and still feel like a professional.
I want to connect to folks, and a newsletter is the best way to do that, but I don't want to send any newsletter. So I asked myself, what do I have to share with the world that puts out something good?
I read. A LOT. And that's what I have to share. Books that your kids might like, and a book for adults.
For kids who are into science, math, and multiverses
Sal & Gabi Break the Universe, and its sequel Sal & Gabi Fix the Universe by Carlos Hernandez are fun stories for kids who are interested in physics, family, or multiverse theory. One of my favorite parts of this world is the "Gabi Dads." Gabi has a gaggle of "dads" that choose to be a part of her life and her family.
Sal is a young man who loves science and feels the loss of his mom deeply.
Their friendship is the stuff of legends and the stakes of the universe are at stake. It's been years since I read these, and the heart of Sal & Gabi's friendship, their commitment to their families, and their love of knowledge has stayed with me.

The Planet, The Portal, and A Pizza by Nora Raleigh Baskin and Wendy Mass is a perfect fit for kids who like a bit of mystery, math, and multiverse theory. While Sal & Gabi uses physics to discover and explain multiverses and how to cross them, The Planet uses mathematics.
The fascinating thing about this story is there are two multiverse stories running at the same time. As I read this book, I kept waiting for the two stories to connect. Once they did, I was disappointed in myself that I didn't figure it out sooner. But I was too engrossed in these children and their efforts to survive and thrive the chaos they've been given, I missed the clues.
A wonderful story about family, secrets, and science. The multiverse theories are at a level that kids understand, but complex enough for an adult to enjoy as well.

Enemies to Lovers Done Right
If you love a slow-burn romance, I've gotta recommend the Queens of Villainy Series by Stephanie Burgis.
Wooing the Witch Queen and Enchanting the Fae Queen are the first two in the series with book 3 coming.
These books are more than just slow-burn romance of two people you absolutely root for the whole way. They're enemies to lovers that make you believe these people are at odds for good reasons, and their journey to coming together makes you want them to be happy more than anything.
On top of these delicious romances with the right amount of spice (on a scale of 1-10, I'd put these at a 4), there's a strong friendship between these three queens. It's a friendship stronger than family. They fight. They work together. They care about each other, and it takes a fantastic romance to a can't-put-down-story.
